Sock Gremlin Terms of Use
1. Application of these Terms
These Terms govern use of the Sock Gremlin mobile game (the “App”) provided by Kang Dong Won, an individual developer (the “Operator”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
The App has an all-ages rating and is intended for a general audience; it is not a children-only service. A user who cannot legally agree to these Terms independently under local law must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. The service
- The App provides a sock-matching game, on-device progress storage, Apple Game Center leaderboards, banner ads, and optional rewarded ads.
- The App has no Operator-managed member account and no in-app purchases.
- Game Center features may depend on an Apple account, network access, and availability of Apple services.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, the Operator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. No ownership of the App or its content is transferred.
5. Prohibited conduct
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you must not:
- copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App;
- manipulate the App or leaderboards or use cheats, automation, or illegitimate score-submission methods;
- circumvent security or interfere with the App, services, or other users; or
- use the App for unlawful or harmful activity or to infringe another person’s rights.
6. Advertising and rewards
The App displays banner and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Advertisers are responsible for the products, services, and content they promote. In-game items granted for rewarded ads are usable only in the App, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred, exchanged, or refunded. A reward may not be granted if viewing is incomplete or the advertising provider cannot confirm completion.
7. Game data and Game Center
Game progress may be stored on the device and in the iOS Keychain. Data may be lost because of device changes, operating-system errors, storage damage, or App-version changes, and the Operator cannot guarantee recovery in every case. Apple’s terms and policies also govern Game Center. Fraudulent or manipulated scores may be removed or invalidated.
8. Intellectual property
The App’s software, game design, graphics, characters, music, text, trademarks, and other content are owned by the Operator or their lawful owners. These Terms grant no intellectual-property rights except the limited right to use the App stated above.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
The Operator may change or discontinue features, difficulty, rewards, advertising, or support for product improvement, technical necessity, security, legal compliance, or third-party service changes. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means when practicable. Use may be restricted for a material breach of these Terms.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” The Operator does not warrant uninterrupted operation, correction of every error, or continuous availability on every device or third-party service. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the App, loss of data, third-party services, or advertisements. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence or for death or personal injury where applicable.
12. Third-party services and links
Apple Game Center, Google AdMob, and other third-party services are governed by their providers’ terms and policies. The Operator does not control third-party content, outages, or transactions between a user and an external provider.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated through App release information or this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires separate consent.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute, after which it may be brought in a court having jurisdiction under the applicable procedural law of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protections in the user’s place of residence remain unaffected.
