Sock Gremlin Privacy Policy
Kang Dong Won, an individual developer (“we,” “us,” or the “Operator”), respects the privacy of users of the Sock Gremlin mobile game (the “App”). This Policy explains what information is processed through the App and this legal-information website.
1. Key points
- The App does not provide a separate account or sign-in system operated by us.
- The App does not directly ask users to enter a name, address, telephone number, or email address.
- Game progress is stored on the device and in the iOS Keychain and is not sent to our servers.
- Apple Game Center is used for leaderboards and high scores.
- Google AdMob is used for banner and rewarded advertising.
- The App contains no in-app purchases.
2. Information processed and purposes

3. Legal bases
Depending on applicable law, processing is based on performance of the service requested by the user, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable App, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Access to advertising identifiers follows the iOS ATT choice. Advertising-related processing that requires consent under local law must be performed in accordance with the user’s applicable consent choices.
4. Third-party services
The App uses the following independent third-party services. Each provider processes information under its own privacy terms.
- Apple Inc. and affiliates — Game Center and iOS: authentication, leaderboards, scores and ranks, device storage, and ATT. See Game Center & Privacy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC and affiliates — AdMob and Firebase Hosting: advertising delivery and measurement, security, and hosting of the legal website. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose it for unrelated purposes except where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. International processing
When Apple and Google services are used, information may be transmitted over encrypted networks and processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate facilities. Transfers occur when the relevant App or website feature is used and support the Game Center, advertising, and hosting purposes described above. Retention follows the provider’s policy and applicable law. Users may sign out of Game Center or adjust advertising and tracking choices, but some features may then be limited.
6. Retention and deletion
- On-device game data may remain until it is removed from the device. iOS Keychain data may remain after the App is uninstalled so progress can be restored.
- Game Center information is retained according to Apple’s policy and the user’s Apple account settings.
- AdMob and Firebase Hosting information is retained according to Google’s policies and applicable law.
- Support emails are deleted without undue delay after the request and related issue are resolved, unless retention is required by law.
When retention is no longer necessary, electronic information under our control is deleted in a manner designed to prevent recovery. We cannot remotely delete information stored only on a user’s device or information controlled directly by Apple or Google.
7. User rights and choices
Subject to local law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Tracking permission can be changed in iOS Settings, and Game Center account and visibility settings can be managed through iOS. Requests concerning information held by us may be sent to the email below. Because the App has no Operator-managed user account or remote game database, we may be unable to identify particular on-device or third-party records.
8. Children
The App has an all-ages rating and is intended for a general audience; it is not designed exclusively for children. The App does not ask children to directly submit names or contact details. A parent or guardian who believes a child’s information requires attention may contact us.
9. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved, including access limitation, protected transmission, data minimization, and review of service providers. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy when features, service providers, or laws change. Material changes will be communicated through App release information or this page, and the “last updated” date above will be revised.
